i have a yellow gown that i need to change the color ,i am looking for a light color for a wedding .
we have blue another yellow and light purple ,what can i use to change the color any suggestions
even a peach or light pink would be nice .

You will not be able to dye any gown that is made of polyester or acetate, nor any gown that is not machine washable. Dyeing requires lots of washing, so a dry-clean-only dress will be destroyed. Polyester and acrylic can be dyed only with a special kind of dye called disperse dye, which your local stores do not sell, and it can be applied only by boiling the dress in it for at least half an hour, in an enormous cooking pot which will never again be reused for food.
If you have a washable natural fiber dress, such as silk, cotton, or rayon, you can mail your gown to a professional dyer such as Spectrum dyes to have them dye it for you, or you can dye it yourself in the washing machine. A yellow gown cannot be dyed to make blue or purple. If you dye a yellow dress blue, you will get green. If you dye a yellow dress purple, you will get brown. The original color always shows through the new dye. You can dye a yellow dress with pink dye if you want peach, because peach is a combination of yellow and pink. Similarly, you can dye a blue dress green or purple, but you won’t be able to make it yellow or peach.
