To confirm a headcount for a formal wedding, is it ok to divy up the call list between bridesmaids?

I am having a formal wedding and sent out invitations that included a prestamped reply card. The wedding is now around the corner, so I gave each of my bridesmaids a list of about ten people to call to confirm a headcount. My thoughts were that is put less pressure on the guest if they were asked by a third party, other than myself or the groom. That way, they would feel less obligated. I am curious as to whether or not people find this ok.
Just as an FYI: I only gave ppl numbers to call that they know.
For ex: My future sis in law is calling her side of the family
Only calling ppl who have made no effort to contact about their rsvp

I think it is OK as long as the bridesmaid is asked and not told. You are busy, and you are right that some people feel less pressured.

They know the people they are callling, great. People expect brides to be busy, birdesmaids and parents are supposed to be the preffered people to contact, not the couple. I think it still works in the opposite direction, and these are people that didn’t do the polite thing and RSVP anyways. That doesn’t mean you get to be rude to them, but this is a bg headache and you don’t need to feel too guilty for bending over backwards for them. One call isn’t bending over backwards for them, but a dozen people with some that may require multiple calls is tough.
