What are the little black bubbles or lesions that you sometimes see on cooked crab legs?
We were at a chinese buffet last night and when they brought out a new pan of cooked crab legs, I noticed one of them had these black circular things on one of the legs. There were probably four or five on there. I took another crab leg and raked them off to see what they were. They seemed kind of soft and squishy and came off after a little force, and it left a little black ring on the crab leg.
What the hell was that?
Crablegs get parasites and small barnacles on them sometimes, totally natural and harmless.
