Any ideas on a bridesmaid dress that looks good on most body types?

I’ve hired a seamstress to make the bridesmaid dresses for our wedding, but she wants to know what style to make and I have no idea what will look good on everyone. I have six bridesmaids ranging from sizes 4 to 20.

I was just in a wedding, and we were tall to short, fat to skinny, and we wore a top/skirt combo from Alfred Angelo that looked good on everyone. It was simple–the top was a sleeveless shirt with a neckline like a t-shirt (called?) and the body was kind of fitted so it accentuated a feminine shape (this did look good on teh heavier women). The skirt was floor length and kind of loose, but not too voluminous…the other girls commented they liked the fact they were covered, and it was comfortable to wear all day.

As a larger woman, please no strapless or spaghetti straps. Remember, a woman who feels good about herself in the dress will both have a better time and take better pictures!
